We know that testing is fun and interesting — and we love that our testers enjoy what they do! Please keep in mind, however, that this is scientific research.
To be valid, it requires certain procedures and consistency.
We rely on our testers to follow a few simple rules to help ensure a smooth testing experience for all and maintain the integrity of the data we collect.

Prior to the Test

• Refrain from smoking, vaping, or using products with lingering odors (including cannabis or tobacco) at least two hours before your session.
• Please arrive to all tests scent free — avoid perfumes, colognes, fragrances, and scented lotions.
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your session start time for check-in.
• Bring a photo ID, which you’ll be asked to show at check-in.
• Please cancel if you’re sick. Tasteocracy reserves the right to dismiss testers who show signs of illness.
• Make childcare arrangements for any unscheduled children under the age of 18.
  Children may not accompany you into the testing room unless scheduled to test.
• Do not leave children or pets unattended in your vehicle for any amount of time.
  If this occurs, you may be asked to leave and could be removed from the Tasteocracy panel.

Upon Arrival

• After check-in, you will be asked a few re-screening questions to confirm eligibility.
  Your answers must match the ones you provided during the qualification survey.
• You’ll sign a confidentiality agreement confirming your participation is voluntary and that you agree to keep details about products and manufacturers confidential.
• All electronic devices must be put away during testing.
  Reading materials (non-electronic) may be allowed in some sessions, but you may be asked to put them away depending on the test format.
  Non-compliance may result in removal from our panel.
• Testers are responsible for arriving on time and at the correct location.
  If you arrive late, you may not be allowed to test and will not be paid.
